Write for Us

Want to write for Grid50?

You’re in luck! We are now accepting guest post submissions. By having one of your articles published on Grid50 you will:

  • Receive Credit for Your Work. At the end of every article, there is an author byline that will display your name, a few sentences about you and your work, and include a link to your website. We can also include your Twitter, Instagram, and/or YouTube profile links if desired.
  • Have Your Article Shared. Your work will be shared across our email list and various social media profiles.

Article Requirements

In order for us to be able to accept your guest post, it must meet the following requirements:

  • Articles should be a minimum of 1,500 words long. This is the minimum length we will accept. We are not in the business of publishing generic, low-value 500-word articles. We want to publish articles of immense value that aim to educate and/or inspire readers.
  • Articles should include an image for every 250 words. There’s no limit here, though. As photographers and videographers, we expect you to be able to take or find quality pictures to include your post. In addition, images should have a use. We don’t want an article full of stock images for the sake of including images. Images should have a purpose. For example, if you’re doing a tutorial on how to shoot a product image, include a few images of your setup and final results. If you’re writing an article covering how you captured a scene in the Blue Ridge Mountains, include examples of your final results and how you achieved that shot (maybe including a shot of your camera settings, camera setup, etc.). Images should help to demonstrate or more clearly communicate your idea.
  • Articles submitted to Grid50 must be your own original work. They can not be published on any other website. That includes your own blog or a site like Medium.

What Type of Articles Do We Want?

Here are some of the types of articles we are looking for:

  • Beginner tips, tricks, and tutorials written by beginners (or “non-experts”)
  • Camera equipment tutorials
  • How to make money as a photographer or videographer
  • How to make YouTube videos, YouTube filming tutorial, or YouTube editing tutorials
  • Tutorials or unique perspectives covering a specific type of Photography
  • A day in the life of…
